We are honored to provide compassionate, courteous, high quality care to our very deserving veteran patients.
The Medical Center in our Health Care System is the Bob Stump Department of
Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona. Located in the mountains of
north central Arizona, Prescott is noted for clean air, sunshine and a
relatively mild climate. Primary and secondary level medical, rehabilitative and
long-term care is provided. Acute medical care consists of primary and secondary
inpatient medicine and ambulatory care, which includes general medicine,
ambulatory surgery, mental health, selected specialized medical clinics,
services for OEF/OIF and women veterans. The Emergency Department is open 24
hours a day. Rehabilitative care consists of a four-bed inpatient physical
medicine rehabilitation unit with an active rehabilitation therapy department,
an outpatient substance abuse treatment program, a PTSD program and a vocational
rehabilitation/job training program. Long-term care consists of a Community
Living Center (CLC), a Geriatric Evaluation and Management program (GEM), and Domiciliary Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP). Dementia, Hospice and Respite programs are available within the
CLC. Domiciliary RRTP is a residential-based program that provides short-term rehabilitative care and long-term health maintenance for veterans who require minimal medical and mental health interventions. The current staffed and operating bed levels consist of 25 acute medical beds (19 acute medicine and 6 ICU / Telemetry beds), 120 domiciliary beds, and 85
CLC beds. To enhance access to veterans living in rural communities we also operate five VA-staffed Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC).
Our mission of honoring and serving veterans by providing exceptional health care is reflected in what we do every day. The results are far reaching. The high levels of satisfaction reported by our patients about our services, staff and volunteers, reinforce the fact that what we do truly makes a difference in the lives of veterans and their families. |
