Edwin “Corky” Davis is a WWII Marine Corps Veteran who is residing at the NAVAHCS Community Living Center (CLC). Over the weekend, he was able to attend his grandson’s wedding virtually with the help of some amazing employees at NAVAHCS.

Mr. Davis’s wife informed the staff at the CLC that their grandson was getting married, but Mr. Davis was not going to be able to attend due to COVID-19. The staff at the CLC worked together to set-up a virtual meeting, projector and headphones so Mr. Davis could attend the wedding.

He was able to speak to his grandson and other members of his family. Mr. Davis said, “I enjoyed it very much and my family was very pleased.” Mr. Davis’ family even made huge posters and hung them up outside of his window at the CLC for him to see.

His family wants him to know he is loved and missed. Mr. Davis smiles every time he looks out his window.
