NAVAHCS Facility Update
Northern Arizona VA Health Care System (NAVAHCS) continues to focus on protecting our Veterans and staff as we move forward.
Yesterday the CDC updated its masking recommendations for individuals who are fully vaccinated, removing the need to wear a mask in carefully selected situations. This does not apply to health care settings, including the Northern Arizona VA Health Care System, our VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) and our VA Telehealth Clinics across Northern Arizona. VHA policy and the Presidential Order requiring masks in federal buildings, regardless of vaccination status, remains in effect.
This is encouraging news and further proof that the vaccine works and that our efforts to continue vaccinating every Veteran, caregiver, employee, spouse and volunteer is an important part of not only keeping us safe but doing our part to help end the pandemic. Please consider getting vaccinated if you have not yet done so, you can learn more here.
Additionally, as a reminder, visitors under the age of 18 are not allowed in VA facilities at this time. For more information on CDC’s masking recommendations – visit When You’ve Been Fully Vaccinated | CDC.
The COVID-19 vaccine is available to ALL Veterans, spouses and caregivers. Please call 928-717-7406 to schedule your appointment. NAVAHCS has separate clinics for either the Moderna two-shot vaccine regimen or the Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) single dose regimen. When you call for your appointment, you may schedule in either of your choice. Please share this information with your fellow Veterans who may not be enrolled at the VA. If you served in the military, regardless of VA eligibility status, you can receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Veterans can also go to MyHealtheVet and OPT-IN to be placed on the call list for scheduling.
Thank you for helping NAVAHCS be among the leaders in the COVID-19 response and COVID-19 vaccination efforts!
NAVAHCS is looking forward to continuing to provide you with outstanding healthcare. Please stay safe and Thank You for Choosing VA.
